America is being poisoned by toxic chemicals.

Without our consent, we, the people have become guinea pigs in the largest experiment in human history. This experiment is coordinated by multinational corporations, manufacturers, chemical engineers, politicians, lobbyists and bribed regulators. Annual profits from this experiment are calculated in the hundreds of billions of dollars.

Over 350,000 synthesized chemicals may be found in our air, water, food, drinks and household products. Two thousand new chemicals, or around 10 million tons, are released into the environment every year. Our farmlands are not isolated islands as tiny particles of agrochemicals systematically destroy soil ecosystems and silently drift into waterways, vegetation, birds, insects, animals, nearby towns, schoolyards, and even into organic farms.

These agrochemicals also merge with unknown quantities of other chemicals that grow into unknown combinations. The unintended chemical cocktails cause developmental deficiencies, mental disorders, a myriad of diseases, and even death. Harmful chemicals are found in our bones, muscles, blood, and fat, and are being presently monitored by the CDC.

The EPA is tasked with regulating this experiment, but only 1% of chemicals are thoroughly tested. Consumers have no rights and the profiteers have no obligations to remove the toxic chemicals from our environment. For the love of money, chemical conglomerates hide behind outdated federal standards and justify the experiment with terms like tiny amounts and safe limits.

Tiny amounts of natural hormones act powerfully, so it is not surprising that endocrine disrupting chemicals can also have debilitating effects in tiny doses. But the FDA argues that chemicals found to be toxic in large doses are at low enough levels to safely meet consumption standards. Alarmingly, the FDA does not take into account the fact that the majority of processed food in our grocery stores contains chemicals that can add up rather quickly. What is the safe level when 5, 10, 20 or more chemicals are ingested over a short period of time?

The use of glyphosate, the active ingredient in the weed killer Roundup, has skyrocketed since the 1970s. Glyphosate is now sold in 750 varieties, sprayed on hundreds of crops, and publicized as low risk to humans. This herbicide is found in most corn products, corn syrup, soybean derivatives, fructose, beans, alcohol, potatoes, GMO crops, Canola oil, farm animals, grains, urine and even in breast milk. According to the Center for Environmental Health, glyphosate residue has been found to cause birth defects and hormone disruption in animal testing. The WHO has classified glyphosate as a “probable human carcinogen.”

What are the long term consequences? Proving up before exposing us to chemicals seems to be a foreign concept to the FDA and the EPA. We, the People, have become human test tubes and the declining health of America will ultimately answer these questions.

It has become abundantly clear that the chemicals we sow into our environment end up back on our plates. The CDC estimates that regulated chemicals kill at least 1,400 Americans a year, and chronic food illnesses kill another 678,000. What are the statistics on sickness and the quality of life? That death toll does not reflect the FDA’s tiny amounts and safe limits standards, but is higher than all combined combat deaths in every war in American history.

Federal law bans toxic substances that render food harmful to health. The law requires policymakers to take meaningful action, but profiteers are buying politicians and regulators off. An analysis by the American Action Forum estimates that obesity, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and 13 nutrition-related cancers cost the U.S. economy $16 trillion between 2011-2020. Mounting studies suggest that ultra-processed foods laden with chemicals were the main cause. It’s high time we, the people terminate this experiment and put health before profit.

We, the people can…

  • Increase grassroots awareness and help spread the message.
  • Expose deceptive advertising, offending products and companies.
  • Advocate for 100% safe regulations and heavy fines for offenders.
  • Read labels and STOP BUYING THE POISON.
  • Remove harmful contaminants from your dwelling.
  • Grow a garden or support organic farmers.
  • One study found that people who began to eat organic foods exclusively reduced their glyphosate levels by 70% in just 6 days.
  • Eat a healthy, nutritious diet.
  • If you believe you are contaminated, fast and detox.
